This is a fantastic meal all around - if you are looking for a vegan yogurt alternative, a nutritious desert option, or just a yummy breakfast idea - overnight oats to save the day!
I have a strong feeling you have tried them already (have you?), but if you haven't, here is a super easy recipe.
You will need:
- 1/2 cup oat flakes.
- Some raw seeds: Chia, flax, pumpkin seeds. Also you can add goji berries, sesame seeds for extra iron boost (but not too much because they are somewhat bitter), or even raisins or raw nuts - cashews would taste amazing here.
- 1 cup of water. If you are fancy like me, add plant milk, oatly is yum! :D
- Some marvelous delicious fruits and berries to decorate with and to add that sweet flavor.
The night before mix all ingredients but the fruit. Cover with a lid and leave overnight in the fridge. In the morning add fruits and you can either mix with a spoon or blend them all together for an extra smooth yogurt feel.
Bonus benefit is a glowing skin you will be getting from those raw seeds packed with nutrients and fiber. And glowing face sure looks great with Bangles :D
